Carrot-Beetroot Halwa

Preparation time : 40 mins

Serving size : 5

Ingredients:

  1. Grated carrot – 5 grated beetroot- 2
  2. Coconut milk/nut milk – 1 cup
  3. Melted Organic jaggery- 1/2 cup
  4. nuts- almond, cashew, soaked seeds, raisins
  5. Cardamom powder-1tsp
  6. 10 Dates paste

Method:

  1. Steam the grated carrot and beetroot.
  2. Add coconut milk and let it cook till the milk is absorbed
  3. Add date paste and jaggery syrup
  4. Cook for another 10 mins till the halwa gets dry.
  5. Finally add cardamom powder.
  6. Garnish with soaked nuts, raisins and seeds
  7. Let it cool for 1-2 hours. Store in fridge if u like it cold.
