Moong dal – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Coconut milk – from 1 coconut
Cardamom powder – 2tsp
Cashews/almonds/raisins – for garnishing
- Dry roast moong dal just till light golden and let it cool.
- Cook dal in pressure cooker and mash it
- Add jaggery in water, dissolve it and strain it to remove any dirt
- Add jaggery to cooked/ mashed dal
- Add coconut milk
- Boil it till warm
- Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder
- Garnish with almonds/ raisins.
