Moong dal – 1 cup

Jaggery – 1 cup

Coconut milk – from 1 coconut

Cardamom powder – 2tsp

Cashews/almonds/raisins – for garnishing



  1. Dry roast moong dal just till light golden and let it cool.
  2. Cook dal in pressure cooker and mash it
  3. Add jaggery in water, dissolve it and strain it to remove any dirt
  4. Add jaggery to cooked/ mashed dal
  5. Add coconut milk
  6. Boil it till warm
  7. Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder
  8. Garnish with almonds/ raisins.
